Modular

Modular is a series of urban sanitation tool rooms designed for public streets. Each room is composed of modular spatial elements, which makes the series flexible and expandable. A single unit can serve as a separate sanitation room, and several units can be combined into a small multifunctional public area. The interior follows the standard sizes of sanitation tools and uses vertical space to improve storage. The main structure is made of steel, and the outer surface uses fluorocarbon painted aluminium plate to resist corrosion and scratches.

Landscape Installation

Wonderland

Wonderland is a permanent landscape installation placed in a grassland area. The structure is built from concrete and stainless steel pipes, with hardwood ladders and interlocking tunnel spaces. A structural system based on triangles gives the installation stability. A young tree grows at the center of the stage and marks the balance between built form and nature. During the day, the ladders and tunnels serve as a recreation space, and the tree offers shade. At night, LED lighting in a blue tone creates a calm atmosphere in the grassland.

Single Street Bench

Lumino

This bench is made of one monolith twisted pipe There are three types of materials depending on the environment: solid-surface stone-like material, acrylic shiny plastic, semi-transparent acrylic material. The third one allows the bench to look solid at daylight and be transparent at night when the internal illumination starts to glow. For this version of the bench there is a solar panel mounted on the top of it so it can have independent power source. The simple shape and smooth design can ensure the weather resistant, anti-vandal and easy to clean. A city sculpture that can be also useful.

Pithos

This litter bin design subtly refers to the form of an ancient Greek jar. The design approach is abstract and simple. Fiber reinforced concrete and stainless steel are the two materials used for the construction of this object. To replace the bin bag, at first, one has to open the stainless steel lid. A shutter of the waste hole prevents rainwater from entering the bin.

Stone Plant Sculpture is a minimal garden formed as a cube measuring 130 by 130 by 130 centimetres. One half is a block of Jurassic limestone, cut in a quarry in southern Germany. The visible stone surfaces are chiselled and brushed to give an aged look. The other half is made of four yew plants, pruned to the final size after planting. An almost diagonal line marks the joint between stone and plant. The design is a European interpretation of Japanese Zen gardens. The cube stands on a flat lawn and needs low maintenance.

Tree Pool

Re-leaf

Re-Leaf is an ecological tree pool designed for streets and public spaces. Fallen leaves are gathered inside the semi-enclosed basin, where rain and snow compact them until they decompose. The rotted leaves act as a natural fertilizer that increases soil nutrients and supports tree growth. The semi-closed form also reduces water runoff and helps protect soil moisture. Re-Leaf is made of cast iron and consists of four identical parts, which are joined before installation around a tree. The tree pool measures 1300 by 1300 by 250 millimetres.
